Bio

Evan Barrett is most notably a pianist and keyboardist, but is also a music technologist and conductor. He specializes in the production and performance of theatrical music by playing keyboard, conducting, programming keyboard patches, creating click tracks, and music director. His work can be heard in theaters around the country, even when he isn’t in the building. Evan’s work with electronic music programming has brought Broadway quality sound to the orchestra of a community theater. 

Throughout high school, his performances have been heard in church, choral, and, most notably, theatrical settings. In his high school years, he has worked and performed with a number of artists and producers, such as Michael J. Moritz Jr., Todd Maki, Lori Reighn Matta, and Kate Del, along with numerous musicians and producers. Evan became interested in working with theatrical music after seeing his first show on Broadway, and has since made it his goal to be a Broadway musician and collaborative pianist. In every show he works on, Evan makes sure that no detail goes unnoticed, ensuring that the music sounds just like the Broadway production, in both his playing and electronic music programming. His work can be heard in theaters around the world, with clientele from the U.S.A, Canada, and Europe. 

He currently studies at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee as a music performance major, where he regularly performs solo repertoire, chamber music, and regularly appears in ensembles and serves as an accompanist to other students and local institutions.
